Welcome aboard, Wayne. Glad to have you.

Just wanted to say welcome.

God bless,

Wayne,

I don't think you can install a V730 without the 3" spacer. The first problem is drive shaft alignment and I don't think there will be room for right rear engine mount without the spacer. I can get you in touch with someone who has done a few of these swaps if you need some more information, call me at 615 210 4963 and I'll get you his number.

Wayne,
I talked with my friend today and he has some 3" spacers. PM me or call and I'll get in touch with him. We both think without the spacer that your driveshaft alignment will result in vibration because the driveshaft is only about 18 inches long and over that distance 3" can cause a severe angle change.

Wayne, before you install that automatic, you ought to check into the fuel mileage penalty reported by busnuts, if you haven't already.

Automatics in buses are quite a bit different than those in cars.

Take care.
