I am going to do some things to my 85 to accentuate its oldness not change it or try to hide it.

Prevo uses totally cheep anemic marker lights on the front and rear caps I changing to the large chrome plated bullet markers.

They also used totally cheep and ugly little round air horns then put rectangular shields on them. I got a pair of nice long round trumpets

I am instaling a couple of bullet spots in the A and B posts either side of the windshield already have those too.

I need headlight assemblies for 4 round headlights. I am going to change to these and remove the 4 rectangular style. IMO the 85 does not look right with anything accept round.

I suppose I could trade most people are wanting to go the other way but I think I want to keep the old stuff.

If you have some assemblies out of anold truck or bus that are nottoo rusted i am interested.

I been accumulating SS visors for all the front and rear stuff too should look pretty cool when I get it done haven't seen anyone do this as of yet

Hey Mr. Joe Camper,
Just got around to reading some of the older posts and I ran across yours. And what you are doing is very similar to our problems with our older bus. We have a 1948 Silversides. When I got it there were no headlights in it and when I started looking I couldn't find replacements anywhere, so what I did was: I went to a large local salvage yard (car junk yard) and I bought 4 headlight assemblies from a late 50's car. (I think they were from a Dodge or Desoto) I don't know the names of the parts but I got a back bucket, then the smaller bucket that holds the light bulbs and then the connectors and adjusters I got at Advance auto parts. I had to do some creative installing but I got them to work and I used #2 bulbs. Later on I converted the two outside bulbs (that I use for low beam) into two two flat face halogen bulbs that just plugged in (but offered a lot more light.) I got the trim rings from a car show sway meet and that finished the application. Can't tell from the outside that they didn't come with the bus.
