Dave, you'll need a driver for your wireless card, even if it's built-in. You can download this from HPs site on another PC, and copy it to a floppy (if it'll fit) or USB key. Once you have the driver, Windows' Wireless Zero Configuration should allow you to see the access point and connect to it. Some of the newer cards come with utilities that are superior to Windows'.
