Now that you've got the nightstand there arn't you going to miss the brass pole? lol

You weren't supposed to say anything. It's hidden under the bed to get to the bottom bay in a hurry! ;D

Hey Pete, How have you been, long time no see/hear? Doing OK?

Paul,

Looking good!

Now quit talking about a "remodel", too many of us are just trying to get through the initial build... ;)

Cliff, That's too funny, I was thinking the same thing when I tore it apart! At least I knew how it went together the first time! ;D We're still trying to finish our first coach too, seems like we've done two already!

Here is the latest addition in the bedroom. My wife didn't want the traditional fabric valence, so I came up with this. Whew! ;D

I think 'remodel' is a relative term, I was about half way thru my iggle build when libby spotted a pile of brazilian rosewood that I had been hoarding for 30 years and she whined until I finally relented but not with the rosewood, now she has a mahogany kitchen, so I know how a project can evolve, especially since michigan has a law against dismemberment of spouses.  I'm not surprised at the workmanship of pauls cabinets, I've seen pics of his other projects and each one has been detailed out nicely.

Paul, I must say I love that ceiling above the window frame picture. It looks so good and I love the tin look.

Paul,
Your right, I have been off the board for a long time,  my legs were giving me a lot of problems, I would get on the board for a short time and would have to go put my legs up because of my knees,  I couldn't take it any more so I went and got cortizone shots in both knees.  Only two days have gone by and I can get around better and don't have to lay down all the time.  Hopefully the shots will last a long time.  My knees were so bad that I couldn't even walk anymore.

You said you couldn't do wood, your window looks good to me.  What kind of shade do you have in the window?

Hopefully I'll be on the board more, but you know I don't talk much.

Pete, We decided to use a simple aluminum blind, room darkening type. We really wanted cellular shades, but the cost just isn't in the budget right now.
I finally finished and installed the other side today. Now onto making a couple of cabinets in the bedroom to simulate dressers.

Glad you're doing better. I tried the cortisone shots for my back several years ago, didn't work for me so I went under the knife. No back pain since. Hopefully they'll do the job for you!

I'm still learning to measure twice and cut once! It's a fun project!

It's good to see you on the board!

Paul

PS Thanks Ruthi! The work never stops when you own one of these huh!
