Art, I have have one of those that Brian posted on ours for six years, has held up good. No damper on ours. They are made for a propane/elec fridge with the bottom vent, venting out through the roof vent.

Paul, did you go with the plastic (paintable?), or the metal?  I like the looks of the plastic ones better, but you know what the Texas heat does to plastics.  The range hood is a standard, home-type, so I don't know if there's a damper anywhere.  It's a good question, so worth a look.

Just Dallas

I'm just an old chunk of coal... but I'm gonna be a diamond someday.

I'm missing something.  On the catalog page Brian posted, there are several options -- which one(s) do you (Paul and Dallas) recommend?

Thanks.

Art, I have the plastic one. Remember you can paint it and it will slow down any deterioration process. I have not painted ours and the hot Texas sun hasn't destroyed it yet.
