Interesting bus for future conversion

One of these might would make a unique conversion in a few years time. Similar to the Terra Wind RV in concept, but apparently built on a proper Volvo coach chassis:

Ok, I missed your post. The BBC news story was on this evening's TV news so I went to the BBC website for the link.

Oddly enough I had looked for a website for the manufacturer and found the Amphicoach site, but decided they probably weren't the builder. The vehicle in Scotland is refered to as an Amfibus, and is the same colour (but otherwise quite different) to the one in the Amphicoach photos,  but the Amfibus has 'www.datbv.com' on the side, which is a company called Dutch Amphibious Transport Vehicles - who's website doesn't work properly but who appear to be unrelated to Amphicoach.

Frankly I'm amazed something like this could ever be viable on a regular, profit-making bus route.

That thing looks awfully tall and liable to tip over in the water to me.

As long as you have enough ballast it should stay upright  Now in rough sea's  LOL

Maintenance costs on that thing make me REALLY appreciate my MC9. Just trying to keep various seals intact would be staggering.
