You need to talk with Sonnie Gray (Catskinner). He stuffed a Cat in his and he knows what it will take. Lots of work from the looks of what he did, but hey, it's now a hotrod!

I sent you a PM!

The easiest and best engine swap for you is a 8v92 you can use the same engine mounts same fan setup same everything just mount the turbo on rear and there is no need to move the rear panel or raise the floor
.The way Sonnie did his is not for the faint of heart flipping the axles

good luck

Ok I'll bite. Whats flipping the axles? Did he switch the drive axle with the tag? The tag is on the front on a Eagle? Did the 05 run a dropbox? Thanks Tom Y

Yea, Tom he runs a truck rear installed were the boogie were and installed a air lift tag and the 05 does have a drop box but Sonnie did away with it to get a higher gear.
The average person could not do the swap like Sonnie did, if they tried that would be one for sale cheap LOL after they gave up.
It is hard to install 4 strokes in a Eagle that came with a 2 stroke the ones that had the Cummins or Cat engines are not bad the floor is already high enough and the electric panel is on the side instead of being across the back.Fwiw that panel is a PITA to move.

good luck

Nice thing about 8V-92TA, is that they are still being made-albeit for military use though.  Not hard to get 500hp and 1500lb/ft torque-quite sufficient for good performance.  An Electronic 8V-92TA will get about 1 mpg better then the mechanical 8V-92TA.  An electronic 4 stroke will get about 1mpg better then the electronic 8V-92TA.  Good Luck, TomC

If you change to a 8v92 you have to also use a larger radiator.  Well you don't have to, but you will never keep it cool if you don't.
