Just wondering if I should expect to have the December issue by now?

HighTechRedneck

The December issues for standard delivery within the U.S. were mailed on November 25th (day before Thanksgiving).  The bulk mail handling centers were then closed until Monday the 30th.  I don't know how much behind the scenes work got done on bulk mail between those dates.  Probably not a lot.

On average we have found that delivery has taken 2-3 weeks for most people and 4 weeks for the rest.  (And 5 weeks for Union City Tennessee  :o )  So my expectation is that people will start getting them this coming week.  But of course, it is hard to say what impact the Christmas mail blitz will have on it.  It is my hope that we got it in ahead of the main jam up and that perhaps the extra postal staffing was already in place and they may have chosen to move bulk mail through quickly to get it out of the way.

Once we have our Periodicals Class permit approved (soon we hope), I expect those timelines should be cut in half.

Mine arrived yesterday. So taking into account the holiday closure, 5 days is much better than previous issues.

I always smile when I read these posts. It's brings back memories when I used to hear my kids say "Are we there yet"? :D

Besides, I usually get mine after everyone else. Living in Abilene TX has it's limitations ya know!

I just read the pdf version, file it, then when I get the hardcopy I know the mail sorting machine didn't chew it up. ;D
