Hey guys,
I hope I am ok in posting this here. It's kinda on topic, kinda not.  ;D  I'm wanting to post it here so I can get this out to as many of you as I can, to see if any of you have any ideas for me.
What I am wanting to do is find someplace around central Florida to rent coaches. I have 8 German buddy's coming over and wanting to rent coaches so they can do a little touring.....but just in FL. Probably need 2...... I guess. Bus's would be awesome, but sticks and staples would do if it has to.
This is kind of early as they are planning on being here the end of Feb. and beginning of March but I want to get this part of it out of the way.
I'm also planning on bringing my "baby" down too. That is if she can make it thru the I-75 mountains in TN and KY.  ::) ;D
Any ideas or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!
   Thanx,
      Chaz

Chaz,
How long to do they want to rent the coaches for? I know a place that will lease entertainer coaches, but it is with their driver. Pretty $$$$$. If they plan to drive themselves, they would probably be better off with a S&S, something like Cruise America Rentals.  Let me know when & where ya'll will be in FL, might be able to meet up with ya'll.  Jack

Thanx Jack. The entertainer might be the hot ticket. I will fire it past them. But chances are they will probably want to drive. But then, if they got a driver, they could drink more! LOLOL ;D And they DEFINITELY like to drink! BUT!........ I can also tell you, they are really responsible about that as their drinking and driving laws are waaaaaay worse over there. I was over there in May for two weeks.

Here is the itinerary they sent me, but this is just tentative. It will be around that time tho:

Hi Chaz,

The entertainer coaches will be ideal for 8 guy's.. This is why,

2- coaches with 6 bunks each. 4 guy's in each coach leaves 2 lower bunks for luggage/clothing!! This is very critical as the bunk coaches don't have much for storage.

Plus, they will have entertainment, refrig/kitchen, rear lounge, privacy from the driver, and lots of air conditioning!

I would do it this way in a heartbeat!!

Good Luck

Chaz, check a tour operator for day coach rentals they are cheaper than a entertainer I don't know about FL but Hemphill Bros their entertainer coaches start at 800.00 per day up to 1200.00 plus the driver and his expenses.

Chaz,
Do they realize how big Florida is?
That is a lot of land to cover per day.
It is also Bike week in Daytona "traffic".

Ed,

I looked at the places where they were going, and it didn't seem outlandish to me. We do those places, no problem. However, you named the biggest variable. BIKE WEEK. Yup, that could really throw a kink in it. I agree. No traffic (especially if they are not driving, and have a driver), no problem.

God bless,

John

Ed,
Funny you mention that as it was a topic of conversation when I was over there. But they can handle it, I think. They were going to fly into Cincy or Indy and we were going to drive down until I told them how far it was. They about s**t!! I just reminded them "it's a big country"!  ;D
Bike week is the reason they are coming over here but, they want to see the rest of the state also.

If anyone has any other names that I can call, I'd appreciate it. I'm not familiar with such services down there. I will revert to the internet otherwise.

  Thanx again!
