I hope no one feels slighted or offended, as that is most certainly not the intent.
Classic coach owners are a special group of people who are preserving bits of the past for others to see.

I didn't think of it as excluding, but rather emphasizing & not distracting from the main focus of the surviving classic PD4501 coaches.

Just as I don't think the Eagle groups exclude, but focus on a particular brand & try to minimize distractions.

The ride to Amarillo is about an hour, so think of it as more of an excursion or day trip as part of the rally's planned events. . . . .
Similar to a trip to a motorcycle museum, or hiking trail, or outlet shopping, or etc. . . .

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com

Maybe excluding was a poor choice in wording but the point I was trying to make if you guys want to keep it that way don't make a FMCA chapter out of it because when you do it is game over.
Or you can do it like the Prevost guys and charge 1000 to 1500 bucks for a rally fee that keeps most of us Eagle owners and others at bay LOL

good luck

Sorry I can't be there to witness the Scenicruise, as this is gonna be a site to behold.  Best wishes to all the participants.

I've been following the exchange of opinions regarding it being focused on 4501s only.  I got to wondering about us lowly 4104 owners.  Given the production years, seeing a 4501 and a 4104 running together down a stretch of highway, or side by side in a parking lot, would not be out of place.

I've always loved the lines of the Scenicruisers, and would not want to detract from their event.  But I was wondering to myself, "Which would be cooler...   8 Scenicrusers rolling down the highway together,  or 8 Scenics + 8 4104s rolling together?"   I'm not sure I even know which I would pick.

Maybe if there is an event next year, the 4104s can pick a starting point east of the destination.  The Scenics can approach from the west, and the 4104s can approach from the east, and we can join up at some common location.   For that matter, any coach 50+ years old should be welcome.

I thought it was a good choice of wording because it prompted further explanation.

Good point about the FMCA chapter, but If there was a rally fee of half that, I wouldn't expect to see any PD4501's there!
BTW, I think I'd rather hang out with the prevo rejects than the prevo prudes.  ;)

If you thought Eagle owners were tight, just spend some time with us PD4501 owners!  ;)  ;D

I wouldn't expect the tight wad PD4501 owners I know to to join any group that may charge dues . . . .  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D   Therefore, forming a special FMCA chapter is probably not gonna happen . . . . Especially when so many of us are struggling to get ours road worthy.  :o
