Just wanted to put a quick reminder out to everyone. . . please, PLEASE, if you are planning on attending the Jersey Roundup, we need you to call or e-mail the campground and register soon. 

In the past, we've had a few people wait until the last minute, only to find that the campground has already booked up.  We have everyone register and pay for their camping directly with the campground, since we charge no rally fees.

Speaking of which, does the red NJT MCI at Aux Arc COE campground belong to anyone on this list?  Passed it today on our way in -- we're in the cheap seats, the unreservable primative sites all the way at the west end of the road.

hahaha, so, grabbed a quick look at your blog trying to figure out what campground you were in, and had to chuckle to myself because I think we've parked at that very same Walmart two different times on trips.  In fact, we rented a movie from the little moive rental place and they insisted on giving me a membership card.  I thought, "Well, we'll never be able to use this. . ." and then found ourselves in the same place a year or so later.  We didn't rent a movie again, but I sure wondered what I had done with that little card!  

The first time, when we asked about staying, they wre surprised and acted like no one had ever asked that before, but then readily agreed, so we parked on, what I believe, if I remember correctly, was the north end of the parking lot, along the curb, and there was a strip mall just on the next parking lot.  I think we even hiked across the road to eat or something one time we stayed.

In fact, if it's the Walmart that I remember, between our first and second times there, they poured a little divider on the east entrance off the main road in front and because it wasnm't there last time, Larry didn't expect it and was 1/2 way through his turn before realizing there was no way that TempBus and the Jeep were both going to make that turn.  Scrrrraaaapppe went our brand new wheel and tires on the passenger side of that Jeep, ha ha.  Oh well, the sooner you scrape a tire, the sooner you get over it I always say.  

That would have been last July, because we had replaced the wheel on our way TO Minnesota, and I remember paying over $5.25 a gallon  for diesel on our way home!  Yowee that hurt our feelings. . .course, then we ran out and got refilled by the nice construction guy, but that is a whole 'nother story and really, no matter WHAT Larry claims, was NOT my fault!.  

We'll wave Hi! to you as we pass on our way home from New York on Monday, and if you get stuck in that area of long enough, you're more than welcome to join a few lowly folk at the Jersey Rally in October. . I realize you'd have to get REALLY stuck to stay that long, but the invite still stands!  Christy Hicks
