MC8 bedroom closet.... help help please!!!

I am making the lip of the engine compartment into a closet and I would like to put sliding doors on there. Has anyone done this before?

I am having trouble figuring this out because of the curved roof. How can I make this work? Please help!!!

If you're talking going across the back, I would frame it in square as much as possible then add cut to fit solid wood or veneer faced plywood or your choice, using templates to get the fit. I'm working with a lot of curved features in our Eagle and I do it that way as much as possible. It's a challenge, but can be done. Just think of it as a learning curve!

You might post a picture of the area in question to help us help you better.

If I framed it in square... I would loose a lot of space....

I have a cupboard each side with a swinging door and the the hanging space is the middle section where you lose only about3" because of the roof. My intention was to have mirrored sliding doors on the hanging space but my laziness got the better of me and there are a pair of curtains instead.

The doors for the side sections are hinged on the inside and the shape of the doors matches the curved roof so again, there is no loss of height.

I'm not sure how you would loose space by framing the opening for the door square. You would still have usable space inside. Where the curves are you would cut templates out of cardboard or hardboard, then cut your plywood to fit.

Look at lots and lots of pictures on how others have done it.

Again, a picture of the area and maybe a drawing would help.
