...the SodaStream soda maker?
If so is it something you consider worthwhile?
I saw a demo on them several years ago and liked them...noticed an add in the Camping World rag about them and was curious if anyone used or used to use it?
Thanks!

We used to have one when I was a kid - maybe 25 years ago or more. I had no idea they were still going. I remember ours got plenty of use for a while, but I'm not sure what happened to it in the end. I used to love putting far too much concentrate in it and making drinks that had a real kick compared to what you could buy in a store

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

Jack, we used one back in the 80's for several years the problem we ran into was finding the carbonates (CO2) you had to exchange the bottles from a dealer they were not refillable from other sources. The cost was getting to high so we stopped using it.If you like root beer and I do they were great you could make it as strong as you like    good luck

Hi Jack

We use a Soda Stream here in NZ.  Our main reason for using it is we can give the kids soda without all the preservatives & crap in it that comes with the commercial products.  We find it very easy to use.  One of the CO2 refills lasts us about 3 months & is easy to replace at the stores here.

Don't believe the people that tell you that NZ is 15 years behind the rest of the world we're actually 20 years behind.

Cheers

Look on craigslist for a used commerical soda fountain. We had the small unit for sometime with tons of problems. We bought a six head commerical unit for the house with two 20lb tanks ($25.00) per refill. We purchase boxed syrup from Sams for $61.00. We have six flavors running and my kids are very popular during the summer. Cost me about 5 cent per serving.

Ebay sells any parts I need for cheap. No problems in the last 2 years.

Good luck!
