Dunno.  Is it rotated sidewise a little? You would think the tranny would set almost level in both planes, with a slight slope towards the rear axle.  Is your Detroit mounted slightly tilted?  Do you have some sort of unusual tranny oil pan?  Others may know.

Allision designed the things to be mounted slightly off center.  Forgot how much, but quite a bit is OK both side to side and front to rear.  Your question is...is your application tilt normal?  Dunno. What kind of Bus Conversion do you have?  Is it stock or modified?

Reason I ask is we need more information.  Maybe your coach has a tilted installation, or a repower was installed that way.  The concern is that an off set mounting may affect your driveshaft angularity and alignment and U-joints and stuff.  Alignment is important.  :) :) :)

Are you talking the alignment of the engine/transmission assembly or a difference between the engine and transmission?  I believe the engine/transmission assembly is angled slightly to the left so that the driveshaft will line up with the dropbox that is installed to the left of the rear axle center. There should not be any difference between the engine and transmission.  Jack

looks like i will be taking the adapter plate off and redrilling holes, i know on a car or light truck application it has to be leval, so i dont want to talke a chance, so close i can see the engine running   arggg!!!!

I see from your post that you got it fixed.   I just got out from under mine and yes, just to confirm it for you, mine sits perfectly flat/horizontal.  Glad it was an easy fix for you. Wasn't a waste of time for me as i saw a couple of minor things that i need to attend to anyway. :)

Ed, I should bring a flash light to give you at Busn'USA next spring. They are a great little thing I'll show you how to use, so you can crawl under your bus in the dark and see... You would not have to wait for daylight. LOL. How have you and Stevie been? You should also think of coming to the BC Bus Nuts rally I'll be hosting in Invermere, BC on the May long week-end. Take care.
