Howdy folks I know this is sort of late notice as it is just sort of an accidental like "mini-non-rally" thing that just sorta cooked itself up! The other day Cody, Frank & I were in the chat room discussing buses and stuff and the subject of Frank coming by to get some of the FREE take off tires I have to get rid of about mid-month. Well Cody being the smart & attentive feller he is suggested Frank reschedule until later toward the end of the month when he would be coming thru and stopping in on his way south for the winter! Well after some more discussion and Cody mentioning it would be Libby's B-day on the 30th. I agreed to drive whoever was here to either Joe's Steak House (Cody's favorite local Establishment besides the lumber supply house! LOL!) or to Lambert's ( www.throwedrolls.com in Sikeston, MO also known to be CAT's favorite!)! Well Frank immediately picked up on this and asked if it applied to anybody who showed up on their B-Day. I answered without thought "sure why not!" So Frank told Cody he was sure gonna miss meeting Cody & Libby but he was coming by around his B-day on the 14th! I quickly rethought and told Frank "that if he wanted to celebrate it late we still could do it as a group thing for Libby and him both!"
So here it is folks we are looking at having an informal getogether for anybody who wishes to show up around the end of the month! CODY & FRANK will have to provide the exact dates as I don't even know yet! As far as who, what, where, when and how I don't know! But I can promise a good time and good company to all who show up! I am already started on cleaning up the shop and reorganizing it so that there will be plenty of space inside and out for just hanging out, grilling, or any projects anyone wants to work on while here! The shop/pit will be available as long as the companies buses do not need them! The auto lift will also be available for toads!
There it is I've said my part and offered what I can! The rest is up to ya'll! ;D BK ;D
??? ? Anybody? ;D BK ;D

We just might be interested in doing this but we will need a place to park where there is no grass as I wouldn't want the rust from this Eagle to kill the grass
I thought iron helped give greass that deep green color we all enjoy....

;D BK ;D
EVERYBODY B K IS BUYING AT LAMBERTS IN MO.
Thanks BK
i'm probably speaking out of turn since i haven't talked to my "boss", but since things are a little off, and the congress is spending a lot of my money neither they nor i have, i might as well discuss coming down also.
we're looking at buying land just a little further south MaYBE, if it's flat enough, if it's cheap enough, etc, etc. we just want 3-5 acres of flat enough area, near a river like the Tennessee, that we can occasionally park on, and invite our friends to visit, but like Jack's place so you can plug in, get water, but have to leave after 2 weeks when your tanks fill up. No Dumps. i mention all this so that if anyone knows of any deals in lower TN, upper AL, MS, MO, SC or GA. AL and TN seems to have best tax rates.
so maybe i can attend Libby's party, get that free steak that BK's buying in honor of the birthdays. btw, mines the week of the 19th. i'll be 39.
Well, BK, as much as we'd LOVE to get by for a rally at your place, we've got the niece, Holly's, wedding in Florida, and I'm afraid there'd be some very hurt feelings if we didn't make it. . . mine and hers. ;)
She's my brother's daughter, and we had no contact with her until she was an adult, stationed in Kuwait, when I was able to track her down. Although we hadn't met since she was 2, we connected immediately with each other, and have become very close. I wouldn't miss that wedding for anything!
After raising three boys, I finally have two "babygirls", Holly and the 4 yr old grandbaby, Karley. . .so it is true, "All good things come to those who wait!" ;) :D ;D Christy Hicks
BK,
What dates are you actually thinking? We are hoping to stop by and meet you on our way to Minneapolis. Let us know.

Well Rick to be honest the way I do it is usually I let a majority rules thing go! after all IT'S NOT FOR ME, BUT RATHER FOR THOSE COMING!
So with that said, since Frank & Cody started it, I say it's really up to them.
I know for a fact that Cody has to go to the DR on Monday the 6th before he can ignore him and make his plans! LOL! So I guess at the moment it is sorta up in the air!
On the other hand I think they are planning to be here around the end of the month!
But you are welcome at ANYTIME! As is anyone else! I just thought it would be neat to have a non planned getogether or a non-rally if it works out for a group of folks schedules.
So I say lets give Cody til Monday and then we'll put the pressure on him and Frank.
;D BK ;D

Yeah Right!! And I have some beautiful mountain view property in Florida! Or did Fran rob the cradle?? Jack
Thats ok tom, you stick by it, libby was a cradle robber too. Like BK said, my doctor wants to see me monday, I might know more then. For those that hadn't heard, the wonderful stent they put in has been recalled lol, I've never had a body part recalled before tho a few probably should have been lol. I won't know what to ignore until the doctor tells me lol. He got kinda bent out os shape when I took off in the bus 4 days after getting out of intensive care but I almost really thought I was following his instructions, he said to sit in my chair for a month (mine has a steering wheel) and look out the window ( I watched the yard go by at 65MPH), I had non refundable tickets to one of the greatest bluegrass festivals going on at the time and was late, and it was only 900 mles or so to it lol. LIbby said maybe if I took a spring out of a ball point pen refill and put some ketchup on it and handed it to the doc he'd get a kick out of it, but I don't think he likes me much anymore.
Ok it's Monday night and I'm just wondering what Cody's Dr said, that he's going to ignor anyway!
So Cody have you and Frank decided anything so we can share it with others? I personally can work around anytime, as those who've been here before know! I can roll in and out at all hrs of the day or night and not affect anyone! (I even know now to park in the garage when I come in around 4:30-5:00 AM so my bus is not a target! (and if it turns out it is, please back up and hit the shop hard enough to make it come down on top of my bus please! lol)
;D BK ;D

I sure wish I had better news to share than what I recieved yesterday, I spent almost the entire day being poked and prodded and generally abused by a team of doctors bent on buying new cars at medicares expence. I won't be at BK's this fall or anywhere else for several months at least not this winter, the heart attack heavily damaged my heart, the doctors seem to thing that just being verticle should be enough to make me happy, they said that the heart attack was massive and they were very surprised that I have survived to this point. The stent is of the same series that was recalled but may be working well enough at this point to not be a major issue however they claim to be monitoring it. The bypass surgury and valve won't even be scheduled for several months because they claim the risk factors on surviving the surgury are too heavily stacked against me. I asked them about the possibility of putting in a new motor, they told me that because of my parkinsons they won't even concider putting me on a list, the available hearts go to the ones that stand the best chance of long lasting improvement. Of all the informnation I got I'm not sure what all to ignore or not, this was the second opinion I wanted to get and unfortunately it was from some very good specialists, life has evolved to the point where now they want me to wear a nitro patch at all times, they won't do a pacemaker or jump starter, they went back to the risk factors when I brought up that idea, looks like I'm burning oil with no rebuild hope. They are putting me into limited cardiac therapy and in time it's possible I can overcome this inconvienence to some degree and I apologize to any that wanted me to be a part of their sawdust piles but I just can't do it right now.
Well Cody we are certainly sorry to hear the news. But yer health & well being is more important than sawdust! ;D BK ;D
BK said it best. Your health is much more important than the sawdust. I am saddened that we won't be able to get together with you this winter, but you need to focus on your health.
