Title: Honoring Silent Bus Nuts
Post by: Barn Owl on September 25, 2008, 09:55:47 PM
Is it possible to add another heading under the Bus Discussion part of the bulletin board on the home page for those that have passed on? It could be called Silent Bus Nuts, or something that would be appropriate.  In armature radio they are called "Silent Hams". The topic would include their name and handle they went by. I just thought it might be a good way to honor those who are no longer with us. That would be a good place to post the photos, obituaries, eulogies etc. and gives us a place for our condolences and memories.  With Richards passing I have been giving it some thought, and realizing we are not far behind, and that their will be others, I think it would be a good way to respectfully remember our friends. What do you all think? Is it even possible Moderators?

I too agree! It might not be quite the exact thing I mentioned or the way I mentioned it about Richards passing, but I too feel that we should have an area or "place" to honor those who have passed on among us.
Thanks guys!

BK,

I would say that good minds think alike, but my mind is a mess, :-\ so I guess I got a little spark somehow.

Thought I might throw in my two cents. Some of our friends may have departed but their wisdom and experience will be reflected in our archives for as long as this Board is around.

Couldn't we consider putting these Members in a Directory, let's say "Million Milers" or something like that? Whatever the name is would have to be unique and pay honor to their memories.

I too think this is an excellent idea.  We'll work on it.

Thanks for the suggestion & discussion!

Kind Regards, Phil

I don't want to be the last one on the list. I want to be the one that writes the last name on the list.
