Title: Magnum Inverters
Post by: Ray D on September 25, 2008, 08:37:50 PM
I have two Magnum MS2000 inverters.  Da book says you can stack them in series or parallel them.  They have diagrams for series, but I don't want the 240 volts.  So I'm assuming, that by parallel, I can end up with the same wave pattern from each and end up with total watts & 120 volts in one wire.  But the book does not mention or have any diagrams for parallel hookup.  Do you just simply wire them together or what??? Does anyone have any knowledge of this???

Ray,

I have Heart/trace and my book has explicit diagrams for all configurations.  The absolute most important part of the installation section is the "connection verification check list and test".  My inverter has all sorts of built-in protection circuits but not one for a wrong connection.  You need expert asistance and I know right where you can get it.....Dick Wright...neat pun huh?  He IS WREICO International LLC and is located here in Eugene, Or.  Phone number is 541 744 4333.  They have a web site, also.  You will speak with Dick himself or Justin.  This is the mother load of RV generators and inverter info.  Dick now carries the Magnum brand and swears by them.  He also touts Magnums customer support.  Call WRICO and get all the help you can and contact Mag and see if they won't send you hook up diagrams and cold post install check out proceedures.

I am certain that you are going to be fine with this part of your adventure,

John

Thanks John,
I did know that Dick sold these, but not until I bought mine, so I don't feel right asking him for help.  I bought them new, but were surplus, so the seller is no help.  I have called Magnum, but the guy I talked to was no help at all, but I do intend to call them again.
