I had so many positive comments and emails about the north annex that the war department has given me the go ahead to do it, here are a couple of pics of one of the clearings that would hold a few buses , I'll have to do some finish leveling and do up the electric and water, but looks like it will work, the well is onsite and ample, the septic is also more than enough, we have 600amps of electric, from the states standpoint we are not building a campground, only making several spots where I can park my bus lol. The site is very private and off a paved road, Lake Superior is a mile or two away, the big huron rivr with it's famous salmon and rainbow fishing is a mile away, the idea is to make a long list of no rules, just a place to relax, kick tires, maybe pile up some sawdust and escape the heat and humidity and hurricanes.
Gee I may have to come up and visit! How long will it be before the hurricane season up there starts? ;D BK ;D
Cody,
That is very nice of you guys. If we ever get the chance we will stop by and visit.
Thank your Lady for us.
John
Thanks for the pics Cody. Looks like a great place to get away to!
In pic #2 there are windows leaning against the tree. Is that how they do "double pane" windows up in the UP stack two together? LOL!
;D BK ;D
Or are those for someone building a conversion on a budget? LOL!
Yep Bk, those are double pane windows, yooper style lol. What doesn't show on the pictures is a sauna on the side and a 3 bedroom house behind me when I took them, there is some contruction material cause I changed out a bunch of windows, the house is figured to house the slum lord lol or who ever happens to need it.
Kewl! I always dreamed of being a slum lord. Can I, Can I? Pretty please? ;D
Cody, any idea on dates ?
I'm hoping to have it set up for spring use, I'm calling around now to find a dozer to finish leveling it, the next step is to get a trench dug to run some water lines and power posts.

Cody just a dumb thought (and yes I'm full of them and they are free to any body for the asking! LOL!), but you might look around for a good cheap
used pretested backhoe.
They are plentiful and usually can be be found in well used but economical condition with a lot of life still left in them. (just not for hard every day
use abuse like a contractor would put them through. One would come in very handy for leveling, trenching, hauling, loading & unloading building materials, spreading gravel, transferring concrete from the truck to needed but hard to get to places, lifting heavy materials, etc., etc., etc.
I know I'm gonna find one in the near future as well as a forklift. The uses are endless, and they don't eat much when parked!
;D BK ;D
