I read in a recent post where you talked about having two temperature gauges on each side of a 8V or something like that and each gauge running a few degrees different.
Are you talking about one much lower on each head or are you talking about having one on each side of the thermostats in the thermostat housing where the senders are normally placed.
I think I have already asked you this within another post you responded to. Sorry,I can not find it as CRS has taken over again.
Thank you!

Craig,
Both of our 8V71 engine temperature senders are installed in the thermostat housings as well as both alarmstats and the sender for the mechanical sender that is located in the engine compartment.
Our right cylinder head (when viewed from the back of the bus) runs a several degrees hotter than the left cylinder head. Several other busnuts that I have talked to with dual temperature gauges say they have noticed the same thing. Only WAG I can come up with it that water pump oi on left side of engine and may get water run radiator before right side? Jack
FWIW, the water runs through the oil coolers first and then to engine if you didn't have the crossover pipe on the buses with a separate outlet direct to radiator for each head likes the trucks and stationery engines used the temp would be about the same on both sides. not a fan of the crossover system have a great day and weekend

I agree that the 2 radiators with separate feeds to the engine and the crossover are probably not the best design, but us MCI owners are stuck with this unless we want to spend BIG $$$ to change it. Jack
