Title: 4106 Owners - A request
Post by: RJ on September 11, 2008, 08:45:05 PM
Since my coach is out of commission at the moment, I'd like some help from fellow 4106 owners on a simple little research project.

With the coach on pavement, and the suspension aired up for normal street operation, I'd like to know the measurement in inches from the small lip on the chassis at the rear corner of the driver's window (just in front of the "D" window) to the ground.

I'll let everyone know the results of my little project after I get some responses.

Thanks, guys!

Hi RJ,
I'm not sure what you refere to as a "small lip", but the measurement on ours to the bottom of the drivers window opening is 65 1/2" or to the top of the 4" wide trim below the drivers window is 65". That is with 12x22.5 tires on the front. I would guess that other tire sizes would yield different measurements.
Good luck with your project, Sam4106

Thanks, guys, for your help.

I was curious to know how much difference there is between the 4106 and the Buffalos in terms of driver's seat height from the ground.

Depending on tires and ride height adjustment, it looks like the '06 driver sits about 6" higher, and both sit slightly higher than a Scenicruiser operator.

Again, I appreciate my fellow busnut's assistance, thanks!!

FWIW. . .
