Well I always watch our Government owned insurance companies web site as they list the stuff they take bids on.
I happened to notice they had a 1980 5307 Fishbowl owned by the City of Saskatoon ( city I reside )
This bus was in a accident last spring. I remember ready it in the paper. The insurance company wrote it off.
This bus especially caught my eye as it is out of sequence numerically.
I went to check it out and sure enough it was a City of Edmonton imported bus thus the #.
I called the local Transit manager and he confirmed the following.
This bus had a new engine and tranny put in it In the year 2000 exactly 130,000 miles ago.
The starter was changed out 16,000 miles ago.
The tires are less than 2 years old. (back only fronts damaged in accident.)
So I got the bus c/w 6V71, V730 tranny , power steering, 22.5 tubeless tires and rims for a wopping $755.00
So with a little work I'll pull the power train and have it ready for a transplant in my bus. Strip the good stuff for spares,
Now If I was looking for this stuff you can bet it would be no where to be found.

Everybody need a break once in a while.
Good Luck
Nick-
My bus came to me after I had completely given up on the idea and I got it for a 100% trade.
It remains to be seen if I got the better half of the deal ;)

Good purchase, Paul.
If you need some additional space to store all the extra goodies, I have room on my drive axle for the 4 wheels.
I'll give you 'such a deal' on storage fees :)
Best regards.
