Title: Source for LED marker lights?
Post by: CraigC on September 01, 2008, 03:53:12 PM
My GM 4104 has R & M caps that are 9 years old. I was told my new marker lights from R & M are MCI's.
I am looking to replace the current 12V GE 90 bulbs with Led's. The 90 have a large base with 2 contacts and the diameter of the bulb is 3/4". I am looking for a  replacement to fit in the existing socket if such an animal exist.
Has anyone done this, has a source and part number.
I have been searching the web and so far only found single contact units.  I am not sure they would reflect in a 180 degree pattern.

Thank for any input.

I found some bulbs that sound like you describe at Advance Auto. I also bought some led replacement clearance lights for the roof of my bus at Truck Pro. I think they both are on the web.

There are a lot of online LED suppliers....

One of the first ones I used was http://www.superbrightleds.com/

They have replacement bulbs for just about anything.

But if you search for LED replacement bulbs you will find many more sites that will open up your imagination to even more things that use lightbulbs.

Thank you for the great sites. I have spent several hours on the net looking. I am starting to think that direct replacement in Led are not available for a 12V #90 bulbs

Thanks again.
