Title: Rivets
Post by: Paul on August 28, 2008, 10:07:34 AM

I have some rivets to replace on the SS between baggage doors.  Do I use a SS Magna-Loks with SS mandrel?    Or SS pop rivet with SS mandrel?

What have you used?

   Thanks

If you are talking about the brackets for the small sections of rub rail or just the small pieces of skin, SS pot rivets with SS mandrels should be OK.  These are not structural, just attaching to a single framing member.  That is what we used on our MC-8. If the skin is connected to 2 or more structural members, I consider it a structural component and use structural rivets.  Jack
