After carefully planning all of the necessary circuits from the front to the back of the bus I have discovered that I need to run one more cable from the cockpit to the engine compartment. (that was what I thought when I ran the last one) I have discovered an abandoned rod that runs in approximately the center of the coach from the spare tire compartment to the engine compartment. It appears to be a steel rod a little less than a quarter inch in diameter. I am thinking about attaching a cable to this and trying to pull it out fishing the cable through the opening. I am wondering what type of supports or grommets this rod may pass through. I am also wondering how much larger than the rod itself will something pass all the way from the front to the back. Before I attempted this it seems like a good idea to get the general knowledge on this board and avoid the frustration that may ensue. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Not sure what the rod is, but if you have an air throttle, that may be the old throttle linkage. It I remember correctly (now that's a stretch) where it passed through the bulkheads that cross the tunnel, it passed through rubber grommets. I seem to recall someone else trying this a few years ago and found a threaded connection in this rod above one of the baggage compartments. Jack

I think you are right and it is the abandoned throttle rod.

Jack, Now that's funny........By the way, why do you winterize if you live in sunny Florida? ;D Besides with all of the rain you have been having lately you might want to install some pontoons!

Well, actually our idea of winterizing to to load the bus up, fiil the tanks and GO! Summer is our "off season" because of heat, bugs, rain, bugs, humidity, and bugs!
We did set up our plumbing to facilitate easy draining in case we totally lost our minds and ended up in the north in the winter. Jack

Paul it may come as a shocker but here in north west fl aka la or lower alabama it is not unusal to see 10f in the winter. I learned the hard when i first moved here that it a royal pain to replace the pipes in a barth. John

Aaah, beautiful LA AKA "Redneck Riviera" We have friends in Evergreen (about 60 miles North of Mobile. Jack
