Title: Is it ok to run diesel gen while driving the bus for the a/c

same as the topic,i did some searches and found nothing on this topic,all 3 of my roof tops are wired to my main board ,nothing is wired to my engine or engine batterys?? if not a good idea?then how could i hook up at 1 roof top aleast while under way??

Hi John,

Absolutely... As long as you don't have cooling issues with the generator while underway, you will be good to go!

It's a must do for me since my coach is all electric!
Pretty quiet so you hardly even know it's running!

It is what I do but I had to build a shroud around my fan and radiator to keep the temps down because when I was driving the gen would over heat but not when parked til I did my mods

I run my Wrico 13kw kubota all the time to run my 3 roof airs while underway.  My wife has to pull out a blanket even when it was 100 outside, nice.  If it is moderate I merge my house bank with the 350 amp alternator and run the front rooftop off the Trace SW2512 inverter.  I have a honking big continous duty solenoid to carry the load.
