Cool that means I could come in a SETRA and provide group transportation to the shows and show ya'll how nice an updated version of Kassborhrer's engineering! (for those not knowing Kasborhrer was the original designer & manufacturer of the EAGLE)

So Come on Ladies and Gentlemen, get your reservations in and help keep Bryce's dollars in his pocket, after all, he has to support all those nasty MCI's!

Ok, now Tom suggested it, let's see how far it will go.........Soon I hope............You hear that Wayne????? ;D
We need to get one going like ASAP!
Paul
It's in the works Paul ,Wayne has to have it approved by the board but he will bring us into the new age I hope
Recall that several times we have discussed the Eagle website. We have the domain name, and the website.
By the time that Branson rolls around, we will have a pretty good site to demonstrate.
Many of you think that it is easy to slap up a website. It is NOT. Doing the work is not a huge deal (at least to get it started). What is a huge deal is to make sure that the club feels comfortable with the content and the security levels. We will have a public level and a member level and probably a board level as well. What goes in each level may seem straight forward, but again, it is NOT.
Our goal at the Branson meeting is to make sure we have a general consensuses of content and secruity, AND folks who will furnish the content in a professional format. We have a volunteer webmaster who is a professional. He can take the content furnished by the members and format it for a professional looking page. But again, this can not happen without PARTICIPATION of the members (big HINT).
So, bottom line, please be patient. We think it will be worth it.
I have read my post a couple of times, and I know it sounds defensive. However, we have been pretty public about our efforts. It does not help that we are in Europe on vacation and I am a bit fried from all of the great fun we are having :D(it is well into the evening as I post this). I just want folks to know that we are taking a very professional and cautious approach.
Hopefully this will not affend the great members of this board.
Jim
Jim,
I in no way was inferring that it is easy or should be taken lightly. I am glad that the necessary steps are being taken to ensure that the site is what it is intended to be. I was just posting some lighter discussion. ;)
I do appreciate all the efforts by all of you to put this thing together.
Just wish we could go to Branson and participate in the discussion.
I am looking forward to the day that it all comes together.
Paul
Diesel is as low as $3.68 in Antlers OK with quite a few at $3.99 or less - FWIW
P.S - use gasbuddy.com and search diesel prices for any state
i got the email from Wayne. we will probably be filling it out since we are already fmca personal and commercial members.
already sounds a bit formal to me since the chapter is doing a beta test of a multi-level, professional web site. i hereby withdraw my offer to assist on the web. i wasn't lookin for work, just to be helpful. Go for it Jim. ;D
maybe i better check it out first. i'm used to GLCC, SE Cruisers, and CCEA, laid back and fun.
Tom I hope you send in your app. and welcome aboard. Our club is a lot of fun. In building a web site we have to be carefull to protect our members. There will be a place for everyone to coverse in our site. There will also be a place where information only used by our members will be. The reason for this is because there is personal information about our members that the world does not need to know. Please rethink your offer to help we are not as structured as it seams we just have to be carefull. Dale and Jim are working hard and are going to have a first class site. I am sure we will need help to make it a sucess.
Thank You Wayne
OK guys. I can see that I should not have replied when I was tired. Sorry.
Tom and Paul, I think I may have offended you guys. That was not my intention.
I also looks like I may have portrayed our organization as being uptight. That is ,for sure,dd not the case.
Unfortunately, websites can be a very touchy subject with organizations and individuals. We are trying to make sure that we make the site acceptable to the majority of the rather large membership.
Jim
Clifford,
Federal jury duty in Sept.....does this mean you won't be in Branson? Maybe you can reschedule jury duty for another month? :-\
Paul,
I was hoping you & Becky would make it up to Branson after TBR 2008. :-\
I've already sent in my rally fees (Sonnie twisted my arm ;D)....hope to see y'all there! 8)
Darrin
Hi Darrin,
I wish we could have gone to Branson this year, it just won't work out. :'( After reading Wayne's post on the BNO Board I found out it is only every other year, rat's. That means 2010 for us! Oh well, at least that gives me enough time to plan for it. Maybe I'll have enough money saved up for fuel. ;D
Take lots of pics and please give me a report so I can grumble some more. ;)
Paul
Darrin, I requested a change to the month of Nov or Dec but the powers do not seem to care about plans that have been made a year in advance. This is going to be a 42 mile one way trip for me every day for a month it sucks but it is my duty as and American citizen, you guys have fun and who knows it may change next week (hoping)
