Title: Got My Fix Today!
Post by: Dreamscape on August 12, 2008, 03:12:52 PM
Some of you know that I experienced finding two large holes in the rear aluminum panel of our Eagle. These originally were for lights. They were previously bondoed and glassed, had two perfectly round paint cracked holes.

As I was preparing the bus for my fix today I thought I better remove some insulation that a PO had put in. It was white foam board and foam from a tube. What a mess, they put it all around the air inlet plumbing and water resevoir. What a mess to take out. I didn't want to have any fuel around where they would be working. ;D

Well today I fired up the ole girl and took her to a buddy's shop here in Abilene to have it patched up. What a fantastic job they did!!!! I am so happy that the holes were patched correct this time around. I was so exicted I fogot to take any pics today. I will tomorrow after I dress it up a bit. :D Thanks to Jerry and Bob!

Jerry owns an MCI 9. So a Bus Buddy helping another Bus Buddy!

Just one more step closer to prime and paint. Yippee!

It felt good to finally take the bird out and fly!

It is good to see you are getting it done.

after the week end I had last week end I am not sure if I will make it Sept. But that makes it more better that some one else is getting ti together.

Paul,

Your having way to much fun.  Can't wait to see it in paint.

Meanwhile, my frig has died.  Sunday I have to figure a way to get Blue out of the backyard so it can go to the shop Monday.

Bob,

Even if your coach is not ready, come anyway!  ;) It would be great to meet you and hear of your bus tales.

Bill,

I can't wait to see it paint too! ;D It has been a long and windy road. I'm hoping I am home long enough to have it finished for TBR 2008. Even if it's partly finished, we'll bring it anyway!

If you got Blue in there, you can get 'er out! ::) Hope you get it fixed for storing cold ones soon.
