Title: Problem with Air suspension GMC 4905
Post by: chriss on August 12, 2008, 12:58:19 PM
I have a 79 GMC 4905 and the front airbags won't inflate when I start it. the rear airbags inflate as normal, but not the front. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Chris

Chris,

Do your gauges show (Both Needles) that you are up to 120 psi after a reasonable time?

If no air leaks, you have one leveling valve for the front, either stuck, arm bent or not passing air?

Let me know.....

i would take a look at the front leveling valve, could be stuck or disconnected, if you get under it make sure its properly blocked up.

both needles are up to 120psi. where is the leveling valve located? sounds like that would be the problem.

thanks,

Chris

Front leveling valve is located about center just behind front axle.  I just had same problem with my 4905.  Luke had the part
