Question:
OK I am trying to see if we have enough interest to get Bendix to set up a bus system brake class for us. At roughly $250 to $300 per person how many would be willing to attend it? Also maybe they could set up several in different regions.
Option 1: Maybe Southern IN, KY or Middle TN?
votes: 8
Option 2: Maybe East Coast (NJ area)?
votes: 3
Option 3: SE like Southern GA or FL?
votes: 8
Option 4: Midwest MO, IA or ?
votes: 3
Option 5: West AZ, CA, OR, WA ?
votes: 4
Lets see some #'s if yer seriously interested! ;D BK ;D
So far I'm the one vote for the west - to work for us it would have to be winter - AZ, NM, NV. If Bendix put something together Rickreall would also be an obvious candidate for a western location. And there's a big audience there already.
i voted for the ky, tn, in, but i'd love an excuse to go to florida in january, besides jack and paula's rally which is the biggest reason to go and nothing to do with cold in ohio.

If this happens please let me know!!!!!!!!!!

BK,
If you get enough interest, the class could be held immediately after Bussin' 09 (before would put it right on Christmas, and during would be to hectic with all the other rally events). I can arrange a place to hold the class and parking at our place for several buses. Also have a busnut friend north of town with room for several buses. Jack
i'm thinkin this is like chaz's bus. it ain't movin.
i changed out my hoses today, so i'm an expert now anyway.
Having it at busin USA would give me an excuse to go to Fla
Melbo

Probably wouldn't bring buss, but I'd go.........Ya I'm in

Tom,
Did that eliminate your leak? Jack
it seems to have stopped the leak and turned off the brake light that was staying on most of the time even with the park break off.
see my other post yesterday on Lessons for Bus Mechanics
we got to keep this on top BK, otherwise no one will know it exissts and we'll lose our opportunity to become brake experts or to have a bus party. :)
BUMP! LOL! ;D BK ;D
so, bk, since you and i seem to be the only interested parties in this neck of the woods (if you can call West TN and NE Ohio close), let me know who to contact and when you all are goin in case i can find a way and it's close enough to the type of brakes i have to make it worthwhile.
(i got to get better at this cause my brake light is still on even after replacing the leaking line.
Jack why have something of this caliber after the rally? I think it would make for great seminar AT the rally! ;)

Unless I mis-read BK's original post on the other thread, it is a full 2 day course. Since Bendix gets $250 per person, it would not be open to any of those who attended the rally except those that paid an additional $250. We don't have anyplace availble at the Turner Center that could be used all day for 2 days, unless we rent the small building (I think they get $250 per day for the building). JacK
PS: If we can get someone to give a 2-3 hour seminar on air brakes, that would make a GREAT Seminar.
