Title: Onan 5.5 Marquis
Post by: larryh on August 11, 2008, 08:56:08 PM
I start and plug bus into generator and run for a hour or so each month. Well first of Month came and fired up gen as usual and low output turned off and plugged back into shore power.

Fired up gen again and only putting out 56 AC volts on 20 amp side nothing on 30 amp circuit.

Any idea's or answers I'm thinking spendy .

Either your brushes are bad or your exciter is.  Good Luck, TomC

Then did you check the input side? - if it's the same outcome your right it does look spendy - for sure a 30 amp breaker would be the cheape$t outcome - GL
