Title: ELECTRIC SOLENOID ON SIDE OF TRANS

hi i have a electric valve (SOLENOID) mounted on the side of my 644 it looks to be aftermarket, it has three  5/16 lines on it and a ground wire and a trigger wire , any ideas?

yep it for lock up of the torque converter in 1st and 2nd gear it is automatic in 3rd and 4th gear

    If it is a torque converter lock-up solenoid, wire it to a switch on the dash. BUT, remember to switch it off when coming to a stop or you will stop the engine. They are usually only used in hills to help prevent overheating and better engine braking on the downhill side.  Jack
