Jack, here in Arizona they have cracked down on people filling a tank or barrel in the back of pickups at the  RV pumps seems like some of the small truckers were filling their 18 wheelers with it

Hi Craig, we have a 60-gallon fuel tank in the back of the pickup, of course with the travel trailer hooked to it I am sure they wouldn't say anything!
Hope you all are doing GREAT!

Slow news day in Charlotte?  It would be a heck of a drive from Charlotte to any city in Mexico.  You would have to bring a tanker load back to possibly save any money.

I can't believe Mexico isn't cracking down on folks who cross the border just for fuel.  The oil money is supposed to benefit Mexicans, not Americans.  The Mexican government is heavily dependent on Pemex revenues to support the government, but Mexican oil production is supposedly dropping.

Even if oil production is falling, increased prices should more than make up for it.  I seem to recall reading that either Pemex or the government is looking to reduce the gasoline/diesel subsidy since production is falling.  I suspect even at half price that fuel is still expensive for most Mexicans as incomes are low there.

The builder and PO of my bus lived in southern California. He installed an 160 gal axillary tank and would fill up in Mexico, a wopping 300 gal capacity. Since I couldn't reap the same benefit, and the axillary tank was  costing me weight and space, I removed it. If I could buy fuel in Mexico, I would put it back in.

Laryn,
You could buy fuel in Mexico! With that extra capacity, it'd be just about enough to get ya home! LOL! FWIW!   ;D  BK  ;D
