Title: Ht747D instead of Ht740
Post by: Chariotdriver on July 29, 2008, 06:52:08 PM
I somehow thought that I had a HT 740 but now that I can see the data plate on the transmission, I could have swore that it says HT747D.
Is there much of a difference and this is on the backside of a 6v92 (I think!)

Phil, if you have a touch pad  for gear selection it is a 747 that is a electronic ATEC

I do not have a touch pad, although some have said that I"m "touched"

I wonder why the data plate says HT 747D ?
I will have to take another look in the morning.
Thanks,
Phil
P.S.
I looked on the Allison site, but it wanted me to buy some manuals.
