As mentioned in an earlier episode, we bought a 1983 Eagle and drove it back from Florida and we thought the temps were running too high.
Before we set on the trip we had an Alarmastat crumble in out hands. Looking at the back of a 6v92 it is on the left side and upper and is tied into the block and would be surprised if it was not sensing water temp.
I cannot find a part number for this item as it is all but missing.
It has 3 terminals , 1 common, 1 Normally Closed and of course 1 Normally Open.
Where can I find these, any input or part numbers?
Any other ideas on parts in general as to where to order since I'm new at this and think I need to start either ordering everything online unless these are available locally at truck stops etc.
Thanks,
Phil
I think this is the part that was replaced on a friends bus at Choo Choo Bus in Chattanooga last Monday. Maybe HighTechRedneck will get on here and post the phone# for ChooChoo Bus. Jack
Call Norris at Jefferson 1-800-813-9367 he is our go to Eagle guy they cost about 25.00 and get a 212 degree, 12 volt Sliver Eagle will also have it( Dan) 1-800-686-5211 or Hector Jr in Dallas but I don't have the number for him
Thanks again,
As I'm reading through the manuals I read where there is a part in this same general area that controls the fan clutch, could this be the part for that instead of the alarmastat?
I think that I need to rig up a webcam with a 40 ft tether so I can be on the phone while talking and showing pics of the parts that I need help identifying.
Phil
I got one in today and was surprised at the price.
I was expecting the alarmastat to be around 30.00 but it was over 100.00
