Title: Does any 1 have a gmc 1970 4905 with a custom dash board????

Has any 1 bought a custom dash board from r&m or custom instrument panels  and installed it in a gmc 4905 1970? If so how was there product and  does it look good??there pics on the web site really aren't that great or no pics for a 4905 !! please e,mail me or post pics if u have any of these dash panels installed in ur 4905 thanks guys  john     johnjem@comcast.net

Don;t have one but have seen several R&M Dashes.

IMHO they come very rough, like alot of fiberglass stuff.

End results depend on your fiberglass and instalation skilss and the ammount of time you give to the instalation/finishing.

Have seen some that look like $#!% and others that are nice...although I don't care for the look

We used an R&M dash in our MC-8,although not a GM, maybe this will give you an idea what is involved in using an R&M dash.  It required some trimming around the edges for a good fit.  First photo is the finished dash. The second photo is the way it came from R&M (after trimming to fit).   We cut out the 3 panels and installed aluminum inserts. This makes it easy to remove the inserts for access to the back side to replace bulbs, etc. Jack
