For the local bunch (and any non-locals that want to come), Devin and I are hoping to have a small gathering at his
place in Bemidji, MN, the last weekend of this month (that would be July 25 - 27). He says he has about 5 acres to park in, but as I understand it, it's not gravelled and there are no pads to park on. He's been working on the driveway, but we don't expect it to be what many would call "improved sites" by then. So, it's expected to be rustic boondocking at best.
We need to get an approximation of how many would like to attend. I know Fred and Brian Diehl have expressed interest. I'm planning on being there, but that will depend on whether I get my batteries and electrical system put back in my coach by then and get the generator installed. If not, I won't be able to come as I have to have it all in by Aug.
Anyone who would like to attend, please email me off the board. Please don't use the board's PM unless it's absolutely necessary. We'll get more details out to you as we make them up.

Awesome and good luck! Hope you have yer stuff done and are able to go! I was excited to see a gathering up there coming up that I might be able to stop in at! Unfortunatley the timing won't work for me, as our schedule is swamped then & I have even made another promise that push come to shove one way or another I am going to fulfill as promised if need be for that week-end! I'm coming up to Paul's place in Bell Plains sometime in Aug. to check out his open air Setra and help shrink his spare parts pile, and lighten my wallet at the same time! Once I get it figured out maybe we could have a weekend bash (or even just a sat or sun BBQ) somewhere near when I'll be up there. Rumor has it that TN Busnut is going up there around the same time I am! Anyway good luck and enjoy! Hope to hook up and see all ya'll when I get up there! ;D BK ;D

I have been putting in the hours, and hope I can finish at least some of the pads before anyone gets here. It is a no hookup sort of thing, but who needs lights and water when you have plenty of beer. :D
There are free dumps in town so you don't have to worry bout that.
I also need some advice on how to position the pads so anyone who would like to come by and help me engineer a bus c=ground is surely welcome.
The Mississippi river starts just upstream (30 miles) from our place and that is a nice daytrip.

BK, keep us posted on your itinerary. I'll be gone most of Aug, so it will only work for me if it's towards the end, but there are several around here who would probably enjoy another get together that's not far from home.

Directions: Bemidji, MN
Starting point will be at the junction of Hwy 2 and 71 south. This is located on the Southeast corner of town. Wal-mart is located at the NW junction.
From this point travel due north on Hwy 197 approx. 1 mile until you reach Roosevelt road. (CR 8) Turn Right
Travel East on this road approx. 6-7 miles until you reach Swenson Lake Rd. (CR 27) Turn Left
Drive way is 660' north on the right (3rd)
