There are some databases that some on this board have access to.

Although it applies more to service records, bus dealers will not typcially share any history information due to liablitity concerns.  Dealers are not gnereally interested in spending the time to help with this.

Mccarlk -

About the only fairly accessible databases for buses tend to be delivery rosters, which, based on the VIN, identify who originally purchased the coach from the manufacturer.

If you'll post your serial number and unit number in this thread, I'll see what I can dig up from the bookcase behind me in the computer room.

My guess, however, based on what your profile says you've got, is that it originally went to Greyhound.  Once I have the numbers, I can probably narrow it down as to which division and it's original fleet number.

As for subsequent owners. . . needle in a haystack, or a darned good connection at the DMV.

FWIW & HTH. . .

Busfax? Well, yes you can. Simply email your coach VIN or unit or serial number along with what you do know, to mybusfax@yahoo.ca. I try to answer these on the weekends and I can't guarantee I know all of the previous owners but I do know who the coaches were originally delivered to and in a lot of cases they have turned up in the DOT's database whenever they were inspected, the driver recieved a citation for something, or it was involved in an accident, no matter how minor.
