Maybe you can do something with this to help work on your bus.

I got rid of my Dewalt stuff a couple of years ago, all except for the charger. I use it to charge off brand batteries with a couple of jumpers.

Long story, but my friend and I had DeWalt cordless tools. After spending many $$$ on replacement batteries, becuse of not knowing about the recalls. Then chargers melting batteries, which is how we found about recall.  We both switched to other brands.  I am not a contractor I do not need the absoulte top of the line tool.  I went with Ryobi 18V and he went with Craftsman 19.2V.
The batteries in these brands cost less and last longer than the DeWalt. We find that we are both happy with our choices.
