Purchased the LED lights for our upgrade via NCBob's recommendation made by Bargman. A really nice light. We got the red stop/tail and amber turn. These are the 84 series lights if anyone needs to know. After getting them, we decided it would be nice to have matching back-up lights. Here is where the problem started. None to be found! Ok so we decide to look at the Dialight brand that is a direct replacement for what we have which is Hella 65 series. Dead end here too as they don't even make a matching back-up light. Back on the phone with Bargman and after a whole week of run a rounds with this distributor and the next, not to mention retailers in just about every state, I finally found matching back-up lights made by none other than Bargman/Wesbar. No dealer, no distributor, no retailer, has or had any info on this light. I DID have a part number which was more than anyone else had. It's so new they are not even made yet but they will be now that they have an order for them! By the way, if anyone needs or wants LED upgrades, I would suggest going to www.texmood.com or call and ask for Ki Moody. This place is second to none as they are the ONLY one that had these lights listed on their web site and during our phone conversation, Ki Moody was very personable and said he would do what needed to be done to expedite the order.
I just got a call from Becky at Bargman and she tells me these lights will be available for shipment by the end of this month! Now I can go forward with finishing up the Polished SS light panels.
By the way, this is the ONLY repeat ONLY "all clear" back-up light available in the 84 series that I have found! I have found a back-up light that is red with a clear center but wasn't really what I was looking for.
If anyone needs any more information about LED light upgrades from my recent experience, just ask!

Ace, I used the backup lights from IB&P. Here is a picture of them. 35 watts each. Not as bright as I'd like, but way better than the stock ones. No wiring mods.
How much did you pay for the 84 series Dialites?
Jim Dialight doesn't have an 84 series all clear back up light! The Bargman I ordered are 46 each. The stop and turn lights were 27 each. Dialight wanted 96 each for what they had but as I said, no matching back up!
Also Jim after looking at your pic, you have the same thing I was finding. They don't match the other lights you have! I wanted mine to be all the same just as the original are!
BS
The stainless covers are the same size as the other lights and I think it ended up looking pretty good. Sure puts out more light, I can almost see when I'm backing up at night :o).
Prevost sells the Dialite red and ambers for $78 each, with shipping. Still adds up when you are buying 13 of them not including the backups.
Stock they were wired so there were two red running lights on each side, and two red brake lights on each side. The red Dialites have two levels of brightness. I wired them so they are connected 4 to a side for each. They are almost too bright. The service manager at Prevost said he had wired a coach like that for a customer and he got a ticket from Cal CHP for being too bright!
Yea Prevost quoted me 1592.00 to supply the led's but again, no led back-up!
After I'm finished I will have $530.00 in the whole rear section and that includes shipping!
BS
here is what I did. I got these at Fleet pride, all 6 for 109.54 I think that was lights rubber gromunts and pig tails.
I know they are not the ones that bolt on like the ones you have.
I know the mountings don't look that great I made them in a hurry I need to get it inspected. I hope to go back and make better later.
Bob, those aren't too shabby! Good work.
Dennis
Jim here is a link to TEX Mood where I found the back up lights that match the other lights I got from Bargman.
http://www.texmood.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=47-84-026&x=0&y=0
and a pic of the red and amber lights I already have.
The red and amber lights were 361.00 delivered and the 4 back-up lights were 176.00 delivered. I don't think that is too awful bad considering what some of these places are trying to get for them!
BS
Ace, I just posted some pictures of the LED lights I built for my Prevost there are pictures on my site for them I think I only had about 250 bucks for all of them by the time I was finished........
I purchased some dual headlights from Kenworth they were not cheap, but way cheaper than IBP or Prevost.........I'm trying to find someone to build the housing for them now, I didn't care for the one's from IBP, I'd rather have them built where they are not riveted and showing, I would like the seams on the interior(behind the front skin)! Finding someone to build them could be a problem!
Are many of you changing to led because you like the look or just like to spend money? I travel the highways alot and have noticed many new cars and trucks with led which have some of the led's out in the string. It seems to me that then you need to change the whole light because they are a sealed unit and throw it away and buy new. I have a Prevost with the old style round back lights and have replace all my rear, front, side and roof lights for less than $300 and if a bulb burns out it only costs me about $1.00. Just curious why everyone is so hyped up on led.

I went with LED lights because I was going to change the whole fixture anyway.
The advantages as I see them are as follows:
1. Less amperage draw on the system. (old bus wiring)
2. Brighter tail/brake lights (backup lights are not much brighter)
3. Sealed to prevent dirt getting inside the lens where it is difficult to clean.
4. Supposed to last longer then standard bulbs.
5. Mine look cool on the bus.
.
When ask why I replaced mine I would have to say every thing that Zimtok said and they looked and worked better than what I had in the first place.
In my situation, I was going to replace all my rear lenses anyway due to them being very dull, cracked and weathered. The price for just the lenses from Prevost was scary enough so it just happened to be a good time to upgrade to led's. True the current draw is lower but they ARE brighter. I know my current back-up lights are not much more than a regular flashlight! Going to led's will also keep me from having a bulb burn out unknowingly!
Yes being brighter and newer is COOL too!

I spent close to 700 bucks for the LED for my Eagle and removed them and shipped them back because the way Eagles lights were design they act like a side marker lights also and LED lights shine to the back only nothing on the sides so I will stay with the old style till something better comes out but they are cool looking at night
You must of had the first led's that came out. My friend Manny did the back of his Eagle and they look awesome and he didn't spend near what you did!
BS
LED's have come a long way in the last year or so.
I have experminted with them in th3e past and not been happy with what i got. But i am happy with the one on the bus.
I like the 2 X 6 ones that are flush mount. I have some of them that are 3 wire (Ground - bights - dim) and they work good too. I might put them on the sides of it since it does not have any lights on the sides other than the ones on the top in front and back.
I have found some 2 X 6 that are clear for back up lights and they work good too.
Then I still have some of the old round style that i am not sure what I will do with yet. Maybe a trailer, or old truck.
Ace, if he got the complete package from Silver Eagle with the clearance ,backup, tail ,turn signal, and stop lite for the front and back he paid over 600 plus shipping and Sliver Eagle is the only one that has the units but look at the lights from the side angle they have no side light and some states require that it lights like OEM.
Wrong! I didn't say he got them from silver eagle! He got sealed led's that fit his lenses and he made them work. They shine in ALL direction from what I remember. Let me also say sometimes you have to think outside the box and improvise especially when mfgr's think you need them and only them! And as far as IBP? They must cater to the million dollar guys to stay in business with the prices they quote. I can buy a lot of fuel or even attempt to make what they offer (maybe not quite as good) but decent enough for my old 1992 coach to satisfy me!
BS
Ace, I don't buy from IBP I got a set of Leds from that place a few years back and all they did was cut the back out and silicone some LED strips in the sealed lights.I got my info about the Sliver Eagle lights off a post Manny posted about them fwiw but he did what I wanted to do but like you I needed new lights because of the scratches and dull appearance but Craig is working on the side light problem with the manufacture when that's over with I will have a set.The H3 41 I have is equipped with LED'S and those H series look sharp at night with LED all the way around
Didn't know you had a H3! How ab out some pics?
BS
Sure do a 1998 with s 60s and B500 transmission I bought for resale and as soon as Mike Wilson is finished with the paint and fiberglass repairs I will Email you some pictures
Just received confirmation that my NEW all clear LED b/u lights have been shipped! The good thing is now they will match the other stop/tail/turn lights I recently purchased!
Maybe by next week, they will be installed too! :)
Here are pics of the lights I got!

My C3 had been changed over by the co in NJ that owned it. He said every time he went out a marker light seemed to go out and NJ DOT loved writing 75 dollar tickets. They used the replacements from MCI and it was about 1,500 for all. One of my rear taillights went out but the brake side still worked. MCI wanted over 150 for one. My upper 3rd brake light was just wired on the brake side so I lucked out and switched. I thought the had longer life than that. That is the major reason for change, however they are bright and look great.Back to the original su8bject my back up lights are regular bulbs because MCI doesn't have them.
The MCI replacement
Muddog,
Did you find anybody to do what you wanted? Let me know. I may be able to help.

I replaced my 7" round lights with 4 7" round LED's that are tremendously brighter. The only problem I had was when I hooked up my King Cruise control. The LED's take such little power, the King Cruise would not sense them, so I had to put a resistor to ground. Then the King Cruise picked up the stop light and started to work. Good Luck, TomC
After recently receiving my NEW matching all clear back up LED lights I decided to make a mirror finish light panel to dress it up even a little further. Below is a pic of my first attempt. This panel will go on the Left rear and if it works as planned, I will attempt to do the Right rear the same way!
All 17 lights, 9 red (4 on each side and one in the middle), 4 amber turn (2 on each side) and 4 all clear back up ( 2 on each side) cost me a total of $530.00 which included shipping from Texas. The back up lights were the hold up as they had to be produced to match the 84 series I already had! At that cost, I don't think I did too awful bad! LOL
Just noticed in the pic that the upper right back up light is crooked. It only has one temp screw holding it in place but when installed it will fit nicely!
Also dis-regard the blue tape on the floor. Susan has been painting our new base boards and I warned her about getting paint on the new floor I installed! :)
BS
Ace,
Very nice, I'm jealous!
Nice looking arrangement Ace, how does all of this seal against water leakage? When I was playing in the garage with my LED's, they sure do get pretty bright. Have you wired these up yet? The guy behind you will for sure see your intentions........he may even need sunglasses! ;D
Yes I had them wired up and they are much brighter than incandescent's. As for water? Each light is completely sealed so that shouldn't be a problem but if a problem does occur, I always have duct tape! LOL
BS
Ace, they look GREAT. I wanna see them for real. You did a lot of research and a bunch of work on the Stainless to make everything fit...and did a marvelous job.
And you opened the door for the rest of us for the back-up lights! ;)
Great job guy...and thanks for keeping us plugged in.
Bob
You Gus looking for LED lights the Taillightking has a huge selection of LED lights it's where the hot rodders buy all the fancy stuff
www.taillightking.com prices are reasonable too
that looks nice.
Makes me want to hide mine.
Hope there is a bush I can back into at the gathering.
Thanks Bob and Bob! It was more waiting then it was researching although, I DID have to find WHO and WHEN they would make them for me!
Today, I went out and aired the bus up and tried them out. The running lights worked, then after releasing the parking brake, I hit the foot brake and the brake lights worked, and then the turn signals worked, and then the final test was the Back up lights. They worked VERY good. So good that they reflected off a barn that sits a 100 or so yards behind the bus. As you might see in the picture, the red lights are a little dim. I had them wired backwards but have since wired them correctly and the amber turn signal lights seem odd. It's the angle of my camera on my phone as I was trying to picture them while they were blinking ON. Not an easy task! LOL
All in all I am very pleased with the side I have complete. Now all I have to do is the drivers side!
True it's not a professional install but for a 92 coach and me, it works just great and it made it just a little modernized at that! LOL
So far, so good!
BS
Great panel of Leds!
Now even the second driver following you can wear their dark sun glasses and still stop.
Good Job.
Sojourn for Christ, Jerry
Hi ACE,
Nice work with the LED's... Looks First Class!
Nick-
Ok, here is the scoop on Ace's LED lights. I went over tonight to check it out and let me tell you pictures don't do it justice. Those LEDs are awesome! They are bright in the day light and at night, man are they bright! They just look so good in the back of his Prevost especially all the chrome. He has done an excellent job, and for a great price. :)
I think Ace should start making them up for resale, as he has so much time! ;D
Really Ace, a mighty fine job......Where's my sunglasses?.........
Paul
They do look good last night I left Flying J in New Orleans with 2 Hemphill Bros H-45 VIP that had were LED with the Whelen populated arrow turn signals a awesome sight when changing lanes.I hope Ace has good luck with the Bargman Leds most of their products are not very good quality
My only concern with LED'S is that on most vehicles I see them on one or more lights are burned out, cars, trucks and busses. I guess they will improve with time. On our 2006 Hyundi Azera it has a mass of rear LED'S and when the brakes are applied it is very bright. Well one is burned out. I hope Ace has better luck with his.
