Title: Need help with window
Post by: gtd on June 10, 2008, 01:45:16 PM
Moved my MC 7 today to a new campground.  To make a long story short, one of my windows broke.

It is a Peninsula window     Single pane slider.  the whole window is 24.875" high by 29.875" wide.    The fixed section is the part that broke   it is 24" high X 14.25" wide with radius corners on just two of the corners  both top and bottom.  You know   just a normal window.  it is held in place by a rubber strip.

Does anyone know where I might get a replacement piece of glass  in the DFW Texas area?    and can I just get the glass or will I have to replace the whole window?

Or where I could order and have one shipped?

Thanks for the help.

I'm sure Peninsula could ship you one right out! If it's their window to start with why not give them a call?

I use a good glass shop here in Ft. Worth Texas and I am sure they can help f you want more info let me know.

They had the window glass for my 1965 C model Mack and there were only 2000 of them built so they might have any thing.

You can call me 817-480-7158, I'm in Saginaw just north of Ft. Worth

I am off the rest of the week trying to work on my bus if you need any help.

Give Jeff a call.

Not only will he still have your original order, complete with every detail about your window,
he can supply you with the correct shade on the tempered glass.

Thanks all for the info.  I am going to call Jeff in the morning.
I hope he can help.  I didn't do the conversion.  Magic Carpet did it in 1983.  So I will see.  Just thought there might be a local distributor in DFW area.
