Paul,

How is the project with the slide going?

Nice to hear from you.

For those unaware of it the site http://crazedlist.org/ can be used to do regional Craig's List searches.  Theoretically, one could search all of Craig's List at one shot, but it is prone to crash.

Paul,
Re: the slide project
The hard part is done, it took the most time to position everything and plan the layout so that everything works and seals up properly.
Things are going well, we have the slide rails positioned and tacked in.  It would have been easier if Setra had just made a big giant square box like the new Eagles. ;) The sides of a Setra are not straight vertically, there is a slight curve from the bottom to the top of the bay doors, then the angle breaks to the bottom of the window where it breaks again, and then there is another slight curve to the tops of the windows. The structural framing for the opening will be complete on Sat. evening. After that all we have to do is build the room extension and install it, sounds easy enough huh?

There was a slight problem with where the fuel tank was in relation to the slide mechanism. However the plan is to drill a 4" hole directly through the tank and weld in a piece of tubing to allow the actuator bar stock to pass through w/o having to shorten the tank.

BTW, If I can remember to bring my camera I'll post a couple of pics.

The best way to do a national search on craigs list is to use your search engine and type in your item then....... site:craigslist.org      Here is an example, you can do it with anything.

Hi Ace,

Rather than hijack this thread, here's a link to an earlier one.

Thanks for asking,

Green Hornet,
That works well also.  It depends on your needs.  For example, if I am looking for something and willing to travel a bit, it's nice to be able to confine my search to the west coast.

Ace is correct this is the coach that he went and looked at in Orlando. I think the confusion is in the fact that Mr. Lawry and I are both named Paul ;D

Maybe I'm confused too.  ;D

Ace did help me with locating a previous owner in Florida. So we got part of it correct.

SP,

This how I do it. In Google Search Box I type in craigslist silver eagle bus or whatever you want to type and click on go. Every Silver Eagle Bus that is listed appears, even ones that have been removed by owner or the listing has expired. Any search engine would work the same, I think.

Use this link as an example http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=t&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4DMUS_enUS227US228&q=craigslist+silver+eagle+bus

Works for me.  ;)

I can't take credit for this idea. It was given to me by Laryn Christley aka Barn Owl.
