Now that the new clutch is in and the engine is re-installed; we're going up north for the weekend to see if there is any ice still on the lakes in the Iron Range of Minnesota. Its about 240 miles up there. I just re-installed the rear bumper last night and the engine runs real nice. No new leaks so far (Other than that left valve cover gasket) I put in 99 gallons of fuel last night from my bulk tank - ouch thats gonna leave a mark. Good thing my pump counts gallons not dollars.
Thanks to Brian Diehl the engine swapping master for your help on the project. Thanks to Gumpy for staying away ever since I pulled the engine.

Fred,
Congrats on getting her all back together........
Arn't they ALL shakedown cruises? Sort of!
Cliff
Every one I take seems to be a shakedown of one sort or another
Good Luck
Melbo
A 'Well Done' to you Fred. Hope all goes well.
I found, after installing the new clutch, that I felt better in doing a clutch free play adjustment before taking a trip for about the first 4-5 trips. I find that as time goes by the clutch requires less attention. Must be 'broken in' now.
For the record I'm one of those old timers who is very easy on clutches.

Fred
Fred who?
Heh heh.. would you believe I forgot where you live ?
Craig,
I'm not buying that. I think you have a GPS.
The bus ran great 460 miles almost got pulled over for speeding between Eveleth and Cook. Didn't realize it had creeped up to 70 in a 55.
Fred
Welcome back Fred! I'm glad you had a great weekend away! Time for the cruise control to save you from actually getting pulled over! So, you happy with the way it ran?
Did you enjoy the frost warnings? Any snow Sunday morning?
Yes Brian it runs real well. And the clutch is 100 percent improvement. Weatherwise, we got by fine. It was windy but mostly sunny. There was frost on the ground Sunday morning! Thanks again for your help. I've got it back in the shop now so I can go over it closely to see if I missed anything; loose bolts or whatever.
I can see how one could get the bug to change the power plant. The mechanical work is fun.

Hee Hee... What'd that cost you?
I found out the other day a friend of mine in Buffalo is building a Kingsley home brew. Bought a 2002 Volvo and had it stretched to 42 ft. Built a box and sided it and is working on the interior. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like he's going full bore on it and doing a decent job. Let me know if you want to go see it some day.
Craig, I'll go with ... be curious to see how it is being done and what amenities he is including .... Let me know

Craig,
If you take some pictures while your visiting I would love to see them, on or off board.
This is a future project that I have some interest in.
Thanks
Cliff
Craig/Brian:
Sounds like a field trip worthy of participation. Some evening perhaps?
Fred
Yeah, I'll check with him. Maybe next week some evening. It's getting pretty tight on the schedule with graduation and all coming up. I'll let you guys know.
