Title: Batteries

I am just starting my conversion on my MC7 and I am in need of a little clarification, if I connect 2 12v batteries in sires have I doubled the amp hrs with the voltage?

No, Duane.

You can connect two batteries so that they double the volts or the amp hours, but not both. For that, you need four batteries.

Connected in series, you double the volts.

Connected in parallel, you double the amp hours.

If you get in the habit of thinking in terms of kilowatt hours (kwh), it's a lot limpler, and you will be dealing directly with the amount of work your system will you or produce.
