How do you send a private message to a member? ???
Go to the top folder ( Mak Publishing B... ) Click on the "Member List". Click on the member which you want to send a message to. Send a personal message is one of the options.
Hope this helps, Phil
The member must have an email icon after their name and you click on the icon to bring up an email form.

Greetings - once you click on Mak Publishing Bulletin Board (the one with the blue folder by it), then look down about 1/2 way down the page. You will See "Members" - beneath that, you will see a Link for Member list. Click on that one.
Then click on the member's name to send them a message. Does that work?
Let me know, Phil
Did you get my message??
Ok never mind , but did you get my message?

No, interesting. I have 4 messages in my "private folders", but none recently from Ednj. I'll check back in a couple of minutes. I know the feature works - we just need to stay after it. I'll try sending you a message as well. Look for it to show up at the top of the page - where it says something like Hey, Edjg, you have X messages, ....
Will try in just a moment. Hope this helps, Phil
YES , I got your message. :)
I did it differently, I clicked on you profile and where it sayes private message I sent it???

That is how I got the message to you. There may be other ways -
Hope this helps, Phil

Yep, once read, you can delete it when you are done with it.
Hope this helps, Phil
The little icon below the picture on the left do the same, hold your cursor over them and a little flag pops out to inform you of what it does. the one that says "pm" is personal message and "IM" is instant message, envelope is email, etc

I did a test a couple of days ago by sending a private message to Dallas. He got it but only after a caveat from his ISP that it was a "dangerous" e-mail. OK ... so I'm scary, but has this happened to anyone else? I think if I were to send the same e-mail through my ISP to his ISP, there should be no danger warning. Wonder if there is something about the sending through this board that raises a red flag.

Can you try again? I have changed the sender from the BBS - I think - to now be BBS@busconversions.com - for some ISPs, you may have to add this address to your safe list.
Let me know - hope this helps,
Phil
