Good Morning I am working on putting a Series 60 with an auto shift in an Eagle 15. I am gathering the parts for a wire harness. The problem I am having is finding Packard connectors for the Eaton auto shift. I can find most of the connectors but have to buy minimun quantities (usually 50). My transmission is new so I do not have a truck serial # to order OEM. The truck parts counters are no help without a serial #. Eaton tells me it is an OEM part. The connector numbers are Packard # 12040921, 12048455, 1259641.
Does anyone know where to get these connectors or a truck with a generation 2 auto shift in it for a serial number.
Thank You Wayne
Why not stop at a heavy truck dealer and see if you can get a serial number off a truck with the same transmission?
Wayne, check with Dennis (David won't be much help) at Southern Oregon Diesel if you haven't already he is good at finding those type parts.Keep your eyes and ears open for me a model 15 with a 60s and B500 prefer a 1997 or 1998 40ft model with Eagle siding good luck
Have you tried Apollo @ 1-800-230-5605 they do a lot of harness work for trucks and equipment
Wayne, can you possibly post pics of what your trans connectors look like?
I have done many repowers and have all kinds of connectors, pins, etc.
I am not familiar with the Eaton trans and it's connectors.
I am very familiar with DDEC,Allison ATEC/WTEC wiring and connectors, interfaces,WABCO ABS sytems, etc.
Let me know, I'd be happy to help as best as possible. 8)
Thank you for the reply I called apollo they do not carry Packard. Sammy After reading a thread posted a day or so before about an allison trans I called General Diesel & electronics I think they can help me. If not I will see if I can get you a picture. Also I am putting an ABS disk brake system on my 15 and may have to call on you down the road. Jim Shepherd and I took a Bendix coarse and I have the manuals with enough information to get me into trouble. It is nice to know there are nice people out there to help us. Thank You Wayne
