DD shop has two 4905s. One good Church Bus with a blown engine, and one Circus Bus with a $15K rebuilt engine and a broken trans. I think one coudl get the Church Bus out for $7K with the good engine and two doors off the Circus bus to replace two bashed doors on the Church Bus. Church Bus still has Royal Coach paint scheme and is a nice seated coach. Both have Allison automatics and Jakes. Both are 8V71s. Chuch Bus looks like it could go back in charter service. I have mentioned this to RJ Long and he has origin info., but noone seems interested. Too bad to see a good coach just sitting there. I have seen a lot of other junk not near as good as that coach!!! I think GMs were the greatest buses ever from their time. The problem is you can buy an already converted GM for a very, very small fraction of what it would cost to convert one. No one wants to spend 7k on a 4905, then convert it and have over 80k in it and then have it worth 30k. Because that's about all one can seem to get out of them now, and also parts will become more and more difficult to find as time goes on. On the other hand you can probably pick up a nice MCI shell for close to the same money, and spend the same amount of time and money converting it, and have a bus that could be worth 2x as much as the GM. It also helps a lot that MCI's are still made and have a good support network. It's all in the math; one takes a bigger hit on the GM.....FWIW.
Yes, I agree with all you have written. However, this one could be a seated coach for someone who wants to put it in a museum or use it for movies or? Converting this to a motor home is not good unless you want the large bays and the extra room in the engine compartment and the skylites. How do you like this unit that was at the bus shop to get repaired? Bill
how about the contact info I am looking for parts.

We have one just like this in the fire company I belong to. We had to get rid of it because we could not get it repaired. You can see pics here:
