Title: saftey switch Question
Post by: Bob Gil on April 20, 2008, 08:03:44 AM
I have been thinking about the rewiring to be done on my burn't up bus.

Can any body tell me?
     1. The neutral safety switch on the auto transmission is a ground?
(it completes a curcit by suppling a ground to a relay?)

     2. The back up light switch off an auto transmission?  Does it do the same?
(complete a curcit by suppling a ground to a relay?)

I have been trying to figure out the wiring for the back of the bus.  i have not been able to figure out the two relays on the panel, until just now I was thinking and I realized that I did not have a neutral safety switch.  That might be the use of one of the relays and the back up lights the other if they use grounds to complete the curcits and close the relays.

I would look at the switch. If it has only one terminal, it goes to ground to complete the circuit. If it has two terminals it completes the circuit to somewhere else...This is only my opinion...Cable
