Hi All,
I had the pleasure of meeting Richard at R & M Fiberglass yesterday. Went there to see my new breastplate they made before they ship it out to Abilene. It was much better than I could have hoped for, very straight and clean. He offered all kinds of helpful information on installing it, even is including three pieces that will be used on the window pillars to tie it all together.
His shop if full of fiberglass parts, mostly for wind deflectors on big rigs.
If you ever have a chance to be in the Turner OR area, stop by and say HI. It was a nice drive, brought many memories as I used to live about 5 miles from him many years ago. Before my bus life.
Happy Trails,
Paul
Hi Paul,
Very cool.. Is this a standard piece or did Richard customize it for your needs?
Pics, Pics, Please!
Good Luck with it Paul
Nick-
Hi Nick,
It is the standard breastplate for the Eagle 01/05/10. I forgot to take pics of it when there, I was so excited just to see it.
As the 01 breastplate is rounded, this style is like later models, which I like better anyway. Mine was just so badly rusted where the rubber windshield seal lays over it on the bottom.
I will take pictures of it during the installation process. So you'll just have to hold onto your britches. ;D

Paul: I am glad to hear that success has not spoiled Richard. I dealt with him when he was breaking into the bus cap market and he was a real gentleman to work with. He did what he promised, on time, at the agreed price. It is hard to get suppliers like that!
Stan,
I agree, I called them on Tuesday of last week to place the order. It was ready when I got there. I know it is a small piece to deal with compared to other work I saw, but they had fiiled the order without wasting time.
Nice to deal with an outfit that does what they say is a good feeling.
