Title: Help from HT 754 parts manual
Post by: Hi yo silver on April 11, 2008, 08:50:42 AM
Mornin' everybody,
Well, I mowed the grass like she told me....after I visited my bus; first things first.

Making a sharp turn in the driveway the other day and ran in the ditch.  That's a story for another time.  I guess I'm more out of practice paying attention than I want to admit.  I drug the bottom, knocking what looks to be a transmission filter cannister out of kilter enough that it's now leaking.  There is a plug and a bolt on the bottom of it, and two large (1"?) flex hoses going to the plate it mounts on.  I'm guessing I need a new bolt and hoping that's all I bent.  Anybody got a view of it in a parts manual?  It's an HT 754, 1982 as far as I know.  And yeah, I had to be winched out :<  Thanks

Dennis

Update;
Luvrbus, I called Luke's, transmission #'s in hand.  The parts guy suggested the same thing.  I can't get under the bus very well, but I think I can change the "mounting plate", filter and all, by removing four bolts.  He's checking to see what he has.  Thanks for the reply.

Yup, if money has to be spent to make the old one right, upgrade to a spin-on. Easier and less mess to change the filters.

happy coaching!
