Libby is dragging me kicking and screaming north, we left Ruskin today on our way to Mike's place in Dunnellon, about 5 or 6 miles from mikes I heard a poof, phissssssssssssss, the problem is that libby heard it too. I checked my air guages and the rear pressure guage was heading south, so I pulled over. In the middle of libby's screams of WE'RE GOING TO DIE, I figured I'd see what had broke. Actually she was pretty calm, she was really telling me to fix it or I would be the one to die. A small air line had pulled loose from the area right under the front of the bus in the storage compartment under my seat, not a problem so I pulled out my tool box, absolutely no 1/2 inch wrenches, a call to mike and the calvery was coming. While I was waiting for mike, I was puzzling over where the wrench had gone, the only place I had used it was at jacks so it was probably on his work bench, oh well, I put the line back together and got it finger tight when mike got there, we tightened it up and started to air up the bus, I looked over by the door and there sat my 1/2 inch wrench, we're at mikes now visiting, the bus is fine, air is holding nicely, ain't life good? lol
You sound like my kids - the tool was hung up on the ground right where you last used it.
Cody,
Glad you had a good time in Ruskin. Did you get over to the beach? Sorry we didn't get a chance to hook back up.
Bill
Bill, we enjoyed the beach, that sure is a great park, after you headed out we moved over to site 18 to be a little closer to the beach area, we just left there today. On that wood, I asked the ranger if they sold firewood at the park or anywhere close by and he told me to just go and get it from the big pile behind the gate, he said we'd have to walk in and get it tho but it's ok so I get enough for a good bug burner lol.
Cody,
Tell Mike & Diane we said Hi!!. There are great people. Jack
Will do jack, yep they are great people. We sat outside and talked till after dark last night. Mike sure is doing a good job on his bus, I'm not sure I'd tackle the repower, it's a major job but he seems to have it all under control, the further into this bus thing I get the more I realize how little I know, each stop we make is an education for me.
Sounds like you guys are having a great time !
This afternoon we left mike's house, we're now at a truck stop in marianna, in the morning we'll be heading for cullman alabama. Thats if libby can get me to cross the state line lol. I never thought it would be hard to leave florida but it is, I sure like it here, the weather is great, but the people are better. Friday, we should be pulling into union city tennessee, a few days with BK and his parents should help my deepening depression lol. Maybe BK will let me stow aboard and take me back to florida with a load of co-eds lol. I sure hope libby doesn't see this post, she'll kill me lol. Oh well, there are always hills to go over and new roads to try, life is good.
Cody STAY SOUTH !!!!
the forcast for da UP is Snow
what a winter
Chris

LOL! Thanks Cody & Libby I knew I could count on ya'll! Still need that wake up call at about 2:00 AM? LOL! ;D BK ;D
BK that wakeup call might be fun, I haven't seen libby dismember anyone in a long time lol. We just pulled into the Good Hope campground in Cullman Alabama, good run today but ran into a construction zone north of Dothan, I think the town was Troy that went for miles with traffic backed up and just crawling, another snarlup in montgomery and another one in birmingham but made it in without any problems. Got here just as people were battening down the hatches, they claim a storm is rolling in with all the normal tornado warnings. Ain't it fun lol.
Well, it looks like we'll be a day late getting into Union City Tn, lol, we're in the path of a storm cell, just going to sit it out here in Cullman. And libby says I don't provide enough excitement lol, got rotation just southwest of us. Going to get interesting, it's hot and muggy and the air is just hanging right now but I'm not going to be out on the road in it, I'll wait out the tornado warnings and let it blow itself out. I'll keep you all posted on this.
Starting to get really exciting here, got sirens going off, almost nobody driving on the highway and lots of things going on here, got a cell heading directly into town. We'll see what happens now lol, got cylinders of rotation southwest of town but nothing on the ground yet. I'll keep posting as long as I have internet lol.
Northern cullman got hit a bit ago but we're in on the south side of town, got more coming in tho lol, getting really dark out and got anotehr cell just southwest of where we are. Kind of interesting watching it on tv, they've had ongoing coverage of everything on going, they sure work quick around here, got crews out cleaning up tree's and trying to get the power back on inbetween the storm cells. Just got another report of a funnel cloud on the ground southwest of us. I'll keep the reports coming as we get them.
Cody,
You and Libby keep be safe out there!
If that tornado hits it will knock all the rust off that Eagle and then what...... ;D
Be SAFE....NO kidding.......
Cliff & Julie
Looks like the storm is over, it sure was interesting but the cells are now all east of us, at least for now lol. Lots of tornado sightings but the government has to confirm that they were actually tornados now, I think it's an insurance thing, but buildings down, trees down, lots of stuff. It got so dark at 2PM that we used flashlights outside lol, then came the rain and hail, then the wind lol, all the sirens really made it exciting. I suppose I'll get blamed for that lol.
Cody, if I recall correctly you and Libby were giving me a ration about our waiting until the first of May to head back home to NC for the summer. Remember pal, I'm FROM Michigan and being sooo much older than you...have better sense since it's soo nice and warm in FL this time of year.
You just keep on listening to Alice prodding you to get on home this time of year and I believe I can guarantee that next year you're going to have a continuing problem with the battery in your hearing aid!
hehehe
Bob
Cody that wasn't no storms! It was just Robert n I blow'n by and the sirens was the law try'n to catch us! LOL! ;D BK ;D
Damn it what I wouldn't give to be 20 yrs younger! This is one wild bunch of college ko-eds we got on board!
We left cullman alabama this morning heading for union city tennessee, we just pulled in at BK's and the weather is cold with possibly snow for tonight. WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!!!!!!!!! I want sunshine, palm trees and the surf lapping at my toes and the score is Libby 1, cody 0 lol.
Didn't you start your trip out with this kind of luck!!?? We are back in southern Indiana so if you are passing through you're welcome to stop in. We would love to see you. We are about a day's drive from BK's. 70 miles from Louisville or aprox.100 miles from Evansville. We have 30 amp service and water. You will be the third bus here. Our neighbor once told us our drive looked like the back of the Grand Ole Opry lot!( they weren't used to a lot of buses around here)lol.
If we don't see you have safe travels.
Terry
Folks, if your having a boring life, all you need to do is follow Cody and Libby around for awhile. Snow, rain, sleet, thunder storms, and of course a tornado or two, just to brighten up your day. :D
Cody/Libby, Hyeyong and I would like to invite you back down to Florida during HURRICANE season. ;D We can put tie downs on the bus and let you ride it out while we of course evacuate..... ::)
,
Just in case you get bored.... :P
Bill
There's a learning curve involved here, Cody. Last year Jackie & I headed for home in mid April and liked to have froze our butts off in the mountains. There's no force strong enough to budge me out of FL until the first of May from now on. Yeah, it was 90 yesterday but it's 71 here today.
While I like and respect your better half what it boils down to is that the bus moves when you move it! Many a robin has froze to death because of early migrations. ;)
Bob
LOL, this robin is freezing this morning lol, the main reason for heading out when we did was to have some time to do some work for BK's mom. She has a couple of weeks work for me here, then libby's sister wants us to stop in Peoria for a few days to visit (and work on her house lol). Libby is going thru grandkid withdrawal and wants to see them before their dad picks them up for the summer so we'll need to have a couple of weeks for that too. We farmed the wedding out to my daughter to do the first week of may so that is off my mind, now I can concentrate on making sawdust, life is good lol.
